I have a friend who bought an old Gulf diesel and just had it modified to run dual fuel, from old vegetable cooking oil and diesel. I knew Dave was concientious with the environment but this one really looks like the top of the line, recycled biofuel
So, please, tell us more about what you want to do with this Wiki? Having a guest book and a wiki is good, but what kind of content do you want to see? What do you hate? What you currently have is so broad, it could include everything currently on the WWW, and possibly even more!
I hope that gives you an idea of the kinds of things at least one person looks for…
hi, nice idea on the guest book, I think I'll try and add something on my wiki!
cheers

I am in the middle of reading Thomas Friedman's The World is Flat and more I am going through his book, more I regret my first impression of Wikinomics; Tapscott and Williams should be ashamed of bringing up their concepts as what I would call not even a mash up of Friedman's book. Even the Boeing' IBM, Goldcorp case studies were already brought up and the whole principle of collaboration is a variance to Mr. Friedman's concept of horizontalisation. While I might buy Tapscott new books about the top 2009 trends, I will be reading it with a reserve on the authenticity of his information. Will he be still 2 years behind Friedman?
I once stumbled upon a site called TWIKI.org, it was the beginning of a new passion which resulted in creating the SMARTCO Project
Propositional be more related to science and discoveries while prescriptive is more related to inventions and technologies
It would be interesting to start with the theory of the level of intelligence required to do a job, then brief description of the propositional knowledge vs prescriptive knowledge then introduce TWI

"Training Within Industry," by Donald Dinero, explores a crucial piece of a Lean initiative that has been overlooked throughout U.S. industry. The Training Within Industry (TWI) program — developed by the United States during World War II — has been used by Toyota for decades This powerful program standardizes training processes and assists front-line supervisors in teaching new operations to workers quickly and effectively.
Dinero completely explores the history and application of the four modules that compose TWI: "Job Instruction" — in which employees are trained to perform their tasks as quickly as they are capable with minimal waste; "Job Methods" — in which employees are taught how to improve their processes using existing resources; "Job Relations" — in which personnel problems are solved in an analytical, non-emotional manner so that employees are focused on a stated objective; and "Program Development" — in which robust training plans are developed to meet the particular needs of a specific plant.
Readers of "Training Within Industry" will see that standardized work imparts measurable continuous improvement because it sets a baseline. It establishes a framework for efficiency and innovation.
In addition, the book includes a CD containing the text of original TWI bulletins issued by the U.S. government in the 1940s. Unique and Compelling Features and Benefits:
* Provides a key to successfully implementing Lean Thinking
* Provides basic knowledge without any non-valued added material
* Applies to all positions in all industries
* Time tested - has been used for over sixty yearsand is still successful

Striving to answer that question more than 60 years ago sparked the development of the most powerful training methodology that has impacted U.S. industry — Training Within Industry (TWI). During World War II, major production increases were demanded by the U.S. military - TWI, which trains supervisors, was developed comprising three separate programs: "Job Instruction" — how to instruct employees so they can quickly remember to do a job, correctly, safely, and conscientiously "Job Methods" — how to improve methods for producing greater quantities of quality products in less time by effectively using available workforce, machines, and materials "Job relations" — how to lead employees so that problems are prevented and analytical methods are used to effectively resolve problems
Toyota was the earliest company to adopt TWI after World War II, and this methodology planted the seeds for the development of the Toyota Production System — the gold standard of manufacturing excellence.
In The TWI Workbook: " Essential Skills for Supervisors," Patrick Graupp and Robert Wrona teach supervisors how to apply a four-step method for each of the three respective programs with numerous examples and exercises. In these exercises, supervisors will participate in hands-on application of the four-step method to actual jobs and employee problems from their own worksites. In addition, a CD companion includes blank forms needed to complete the exercises and implementation case studies.

How about having a prosumer network which would populate a virtual guidebook for residents and tourist on where to go, where to shop, where entertainment is ect… City Insider could be an interesting project to develop.
An other topic to research on, Training_Within_Industry which actually was originally introduced to me in the book Corporate Creativity and I almost forgot. I love wiki!!!
An idea to link the four principles of TQM with the seven elements of mass collaboration is being revised in my latest blog Wikinomics and TQM it is a great deal and researches and conceptualization but the final product should be a hit!!!
Web2.0 tools are now available to conduct collaborative innitiatives within companies and partners to embrace the concept and work in a Win-Win collaborative fashion.
However, we are not there yet, for most companies, there is a need for cultural changes and to begin with senior management that need to embrasse a whole new set of values where information really comes from bottom up.
Results will not come overnight though, it will take time and effort and there will be a considerable learning curve along the way. The amount of effort produced will determine the quality of the result in the rapidly moving information collaboration market. Those that don’t adopt and change will move to the sidelines and have to let the real innovators through.

There is something to be said about wiki, if there is a simple application of use would be with committes similar to a healt and safety team. Simple applications that require a small contribution from everyone in order to get the job done. One of the limitation a group of people like this have, is time. They agreed to meeet up once a week and then there are these project coming up between meetings, action items and deliverable and then - their regular task, what they are coming to work everyday for. This stretches their time and make these people who have join for the sake of work safety becoming over tasked individuals.
So it is for these people which I am part of at work that I will attempt to develop basic collaboration tool in The Health and Safety pages
Call this micro environentalism or simply logical propaganda but the idea is to analyse specific behaviors to a detail level where we can split the impact to the smallest unit of measure; we know how much a ton of CO2 is damagable but do we know what this ton of CO2 looks like at the end of an exhaust pipe, or tag to a banana from equator, or this sheet of paper you just printed your emails on? Not really.

Here is a starting point:
*Development — Contribution made at developing the architecture and work on the project — Quantitative and Qualitative
* The quantitative value is how much developing each contributor made
* The Qualitative could be defined with the rating system. Member of the community have only the option of giving a thumbs up or nothing; this might be sketchy to well define
